Kastle Korner Free shipping

Post by zaxrex »

The KK is having a free ground shipping offer when you enter in code KKFRESHIP.

Good for when you are getting a set of coil-overs for your white WRX wagon...

I don't know. Coilovers just seem like overkill for me. A good pair of springs and front and rear sway bars (and some 17" wheels) seem more reasonable.

a set of Tokico D-Spec shocks, springs, and sway bars would be a nice suspension setup. PTuning has free shipping on the Tokico shocks.

Because he has a wagon, Alan will have to get spacers for either the AGX or the Tokico D-Specs.
Boxer-4 racing used to offer the Konis prebuilt in the struts. You would just send them your old ones after your install. But I don't see that available on their site any longer.

I can't really recommend one over the other. I have the STi wagon specific struts on mine which are basically inverted AGX. Next time we see each other remind me and I'll let you take it out and you can feel what that set-up is like.

Most places that sell the AGX will sell some kind of spacer for the WRX wagon.

You could go cheap and pick-up a set of Tein H-Tech Springs for around $250 and then get a set of KYB GR2 struts for around $400. The stock WRX springs are rated at 163 lbs/in front / 132 lbs/in rear. The Tein H-Techs are 196 lbs/in front / 140 lbs/in rear with a drop of 1.1" front / 0.6" rear. Most folks claim the GR2s are about 15% stiffer than stock.

So the springs are about 20% stiffer and the struts are about 15% stiffer. That's a good jump up in stiffness and a nice livable ride height. Now, some cheap 17" wheels and some sticky summer tires and your in business!
