Idaho (Andrew) on NASIOC took his 04 WRX wagon to PTuning to get OpenSource tuned.

Unfortunately, I got a call wondering if Andrewtech has an 04 WRX ECU.
I talked to Anthony75 and he said they might've encountered something called "bricking". Anyhoo...I know you guys are a lot more "geekier" (read: SMARTER) than a lot of the posters on NASIOC. Soooo, anyone got some bright ideas?
I tried to tell him to use the UTEC he bought, and use the Open Source to tweak....oh well.
If any kind souls are able/willing to help someone out, here's some #s:
Ed (saint_foo) 301-529-2831 (I'll just ask you to call the next guy anyways):
Andrew : 208-610-6267
thanks in advance, oh gurus.
Borked 04 WRX ECU (at PTuning)....need help!

I helped put in the turbo on Andrews car last Saturday, so I really hope this turns out for the best. I've never actually heard of someone bricking an ECU before. Bricking their motherboard, sure (bad BIOS update and such). My thought is that they should be able to just reflash it and be ok (ECU's are a lot different than motherboards in that respect).
I have an 04 STI ECU, but I don't think that will help him much.

Things worked out very well, but I'll let Andrew tell the story!
