stage 2 logs

Post by FreddyG »

Hey guys its been a while, glad I got to come out to greveys on monday. I had a few questions that maybe you guys could help me with. So I've been dealing with eric minehart at torqued performance tuning dealing with e-tunes via opensource. I recently went stage 2 with one of his maps and for some reason my car is having odd knock that he can't even explain. We went through 5 different versions of his map and still getting weird knock. Now he's telling me that I should get colder spark plugs (already ordered), and he says that my car has always never liked timing (going from his stage 1 to stage 2), but why would my car act so differently than anyone elses 2011 wrx. I've looked at other logs from 2011s running less mods and they're fully capable of running more timing. Logs are included and are labeled. What puzzles me even further is after his first revision I was only getting minor feedback knock and now with his last revision I'm seeing way more knock. Any input is appreciated as always.
