i'm probably going to have someone install them for me.. but does anyone know where i can find instructions on how to do it? i tried searching nasioc but all i can seem to find are FS threads and Lightwerkz going "look how smart i am. im going to post a million threads.... half of which are rpeats.. about various HID projects"

If you are putting the bulbs in your non-projector housing, I would think you would have a hell of a time positioning them the correct way so as to actually push light ahead. The optics are very touchy.

Asside from that are you asking how to set the wiring up for the balasts and headlight relay, or just if the bulbs will fit in your housing?

nah im talking i got the housings, bulbs, control units. everything for free. ive seen plenty of people put the projector housing/bulb and such in there.. but no how-tos.... i'll just pay someone else to put em in. wiring isnt too bad. all i'd really ned to do would be to change a few things. i was just wondering about the fit/allignment itself

in the end it looks like this

(cept those are painted BMW housings with S2k projectors.. but essentially the TSX ones work the same)

i researched the hell out of this a while back. dremel skills are a must and some molding as well. not impossible by any means but it's gonna take a lot of effort to make it right.

best of luck, I put this on my back burner...

I'll be liberating the HID projectors out of it sometime soon. These will be saved for when the deal with Ross' STi goes down. I already have a guy here who has done the mod twice on STi's who said he'd be happy to help me. Very cool.

If i were to buy these whole units they would have cost me about $340 each.

Yes, $free does.

$free.99 - $free = $.99 which is almost $1.00

Are people still doing this mod? I never did see anyone post up pics or have them at meets.

I've only seen one in person and they guy said it was a HUGE PITA to do and that he had to crack them open every so often to readjust. it looks cool but just isn't worth it IMHO. :(

Honestly now that I look back on it, the first time doing it was a Huge PITA, but I done a few more on other cars and its not that bad. I just had them in the high beams spot to be different and that made it hard.
