Anyone need tire's mounted or balanced?

Post by Sabre »

I have an appointment next Wed. (the 17th) with Tirevan to come to my work. I know Zak is interested. We'll get a multicar/tire discount to make the deal sweeter :)

I'll pick up the KDWs this weekend and will have them mounted on the SSRs.

I am assuming you are going to drive on your whinter tires and have them mount & install your new wheels & rubber on your car. How are you going to get 4 wheels and 4 tires to work & back? how can i get my wheels & tires there?

Hmm... well... I can fit all of them in my car I presume... I'll just need to tie them down in the trunk and all over the inside of my car. haha. I don't think that till be a problem... but I could be wrong!

Yeah, you might want to give that a test run. You could fit 4 mounted wheels & tires, but 4 each loose is going to be a challenge.

Sounds like a job for "Car swap with trailer to haul 8 tires & 8 wheels"

I know I can fit all 4 mounted wheels and tires in my back seat w/ room to spare (but not very much). Then I still have room in the cargo area for more. I love my TALL wagon

Actually, can they unmount and then remount as well? If so, how much?

I have an extra stock alloy that I have sitting in my basement that I want to replace the full size spare wheel w/ that already has a tire mounted on it.

if you take out the back seat you might be able to do it, but it won't be easy to fit a set of wheels and a set of tires in an Impreza sedan. take pictures.

I'm thinking this might be the best route now that you mention it!

When I checked a few weeks ago, it was $36 to mount and balance per wheel with a multiple set discount.

Julian, want to confirm?

when I talked to the gou on the phone I asked how much to put on 4 tires. He goes onto explain how they remove the wheel from the car, use non-marking calmps, remove the old tire, roadforce balance blah, blah -- I told him that I have the wheels off the car and no tires on them, how much would that be? He said same price.

What time do you have scheduled for this? I want to do one wheel (don't laugh) but have meetings that day. I work right off sterling BLVD in sterling. Which is near your office, I believe?

I'm at "Salliemae Dr." in Reston if you use a map or online service, but if you actually drive here, it's "American Dream Way". I'm probably a half an hour from you.

So far we have:

Julian: 4 wheels to mount
Zak: 4 wheels to mount
Will: 1 wheel to mount

Will, if you can drop the wheel/tire off at my place, I'll just carry it with me.

We already had the NASIOC lunch this week :/ I *think* that I am going out tomorrow for lunch to Minerva, which is in the clock tower in Herndon if you know the area. Interested in meeting up there?

I thought you had mentioned this weekend above, so I thought you were staying here... but I guess that was Sunday when you return. Ya, just let me know a time/place next week and we'll work it out.
