No, I want to take my tires/wheels to a shop, drink bad coffee and sit in a smelly room with strangers and have my wheels scratched.

On site tire service from tirevan.net

Post by zaxrex »

Checking to see how many people would be interested in having tirevan.net come out to a site on the weekend to deliver new tires bought through them and install/swap you tires.

They don't offer after hours service, otherwise that would be a cool thing to have at a regular meet.

What I'm looking for is a number of interested people who would like to either buy new tires and have them installed, or bring tires to swapp for the change in season.

If there are enough people interested, the prices on the tires and service would go down because they wouldn't have to drive all over the place doing one set at a time.

With enough advanced notice, the guys there can get almost any tire that you want.

If any of you all need, i get a 20% (I think its 20, I'll check) discount at http://www.discounttiredirect.com/ so if you want tires, the more i order I'm sure the cheaper it will be. Also, if you want wheels, they will ship them mounted and balanced with tires (if you buy tires as well) ;)

OK little childrens, here is the response back from TireVan.net.
steal of a deal if you buy their tires, I think.
Now we just have ot get 5 people to want to install 0.9 tires on all 4 corners, or find a RWD/FWD car that is just getting the driven tires replaced...
Hi Zak
Sorry for the slow response...and thank you for the interest.

In order to prepare for a 'day' with your club members, if we are
only doing installations, we simply need to provide you with
pricing...

We would perform Road Force balancing, and guaranteed scratch free
mounting for $28.00 per wheel on any tire down to a 40 profile. For
anything lower than 40, we would charge $33.00 per wheel.

These prices are for tires we do not sell to your members.

If we sell your members the tires, we would reduce the price by $7.00
per wheel in both cases, to $21.00 and $26.00 respectively.

These prices assume we were to work on a minimum of five cars on the
day, and 18 total wheel installations.

All our prices include stems, disposal, etc. - there are no additional
charges.

If someone wanted tires, we would just need to know what tires, and
with a notice by Wednesday, we would have a 98% chance of having any
tires they wanted by Saturday.

Thanks again for your interest - we'd love to help you organize a
TireVan Discount Day!

Please just give us a call or email if something looks like its taking
shape.
